Production Fees
Because The American Journal of Geriatric Pharmacotherapy carries no advertising, a service fee of $500 per printed page is charged for accepted papers to defray distribution costs, thereby allowing distribution of all accepted manuscripts within 7 weeks of acceptance. The ability to pay the fee does not influence decisions regarding the acceptance of a paper, which is solely dependent on the peer-review process.
Waiver
Fees for exceptional papers that are not sponsored by industry, a university grant, or alternative forms of support may be waived at the publisher’s discretion. Elsevier reserves the right to reschedule any reduced- or waived-fee articles, should it be necessary.
