All manuscripts are peer reviewed for clinical relevance, technical accuracy, methodologic rigor, clarity, and objectivity by the Co–Editors-in-Chief and by independent specialists. All reviewers are drawn from academia; they do not receive compensation for their efforts. The decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a paper is communicated to the corresponding author in writing, usually within 3 to 4 weeks of receipt of the manuscript.
